We cruised on the Norwegian Pearl in September 2014. Did not know about the app until we were already on board. Did not want to pay excessive Internet fees on board just to download the app. Found free wifi at the next port and downloaded the app.
Once the app was installed, it was a nice app in many respects. The on-board intranet functions were handy and worked well.
The list of on-board events was really useful.
The list of tours was lacking many things:
- no detail about the tour, only the title;
- no tour code, such as "JUN0311", to correlate to the printed brochures;
- no pricing information for the tour;
You could put a tour on your wish list, and even book the tour using the app, but without the detailed information we would not use the app to book a tour. Instead, we lined up at the excursions desk and waited for the next available agent.
Fixing this tours information portion of the app would make it a most useful app.
The best part of the app is the account review, where we could check our current account status and see the details of all transactions charged to our stateroom.
