I found the messaging feature of this app, which cost $7.99 per user, to be unreliable, while cruising on the Jewel, from April 11th through April 18th, 2015. This app would report that my iPhone was no longer connected to the ship’s WIFI network, often, yet when I checked the WIFI signal strength, it showed the maximum. There was no audible alert, when this happened. So I’d be clueless, that I could no longer receive text from friends on the ship. It would typically be when I tried to text them, that I’d see the app had disconnected. To get reconnected, required a quit and restart cycle of this app. Assuming that the WIFI signal does disappear at certain points on the ship, the app should reconnect, when the signal improves, but this version does not. The text interface is rather crude. You can’t send a message to a group of friends, or copy a message once it has been transmitted to a friend.
Being able to check on your bill, is a nice feature that the app supports.
